What actually happens
Startups are hiring on the night
The founder of CANtutor AI attends, along with founders from startups that are actively hiring. These are small companies, so the person you speak with is the one who writes the code and makes the offer. There is no careers booth and no application portal.
You arrive with something to show
Most people who meet an engineer for the first time have nothing concrete to show them. You will have spent 6 hours building something you can demonstrate in two minutes, and that changes the conversation entirely.
Not just a party
Open to all ages: students, self-taught builders, and anyone who wants six hours and a deadline. There is one ticket class and one room, so no one is set apart in a students' corner. If you are serious about a career in technology or startups, this is one of the highest-value evenings on the calendar.
The founders in the room
Startups come to Connections to hire on the night. The person you are talking to writes the code, makes the offer, and can say yes in the room.
You leave with contacts, not a swag bag. Open to all ages. Bring what you built and open it.
